I loved your article in the British paper "Telegraph" about your first impressions of Durban in the 70th. Then how everything changed and Durban now. I also arrived in Durban for the first time about 50 yrs. ago and how we as a family have seen the changes. We came from the Far East and we spoke German and English but had never heard Afrikaans nor Zulu before. Our children have emigrated to America and another member of our family, our son and his family, are off to the States next month. But, my South African husband and I love living here.

Hi Janet, I just loved reading the first chapter of The Breadwinners, I will be the first to buy it when it comes out, please let me know. Brings back so many memories of the bread bakery days. Thanks for letting me know. Look forward to it. Shelley

Hi Janet, Congratulations on your home page, very impressive. Didnt realise you had published so many books, what happened to the manuscript I read, set on the Berea? That was great.
